I worked with cardboard and glue this week to create a more refined model. I worked at a smaller scale of 1:50 and enjoyed both this scale and the material. I added windows to the bottom floor, able to open and close to allow natural light in. I made the back window smaller and want to try adding a seat below in next weeks model. I also extended the slanted roof from the top floor out over the balcony to provide shade. The last modification was omitting the front walls from the top and bottom levels, allowing easy sight into the model. I think on my next model I may omit the right walls instead so that you can see where the main door would fit. I also want to try to neaten the balcony and add a balustrade to the staircase.
